Field Service Technician (Central East Coast region)

Job Description
We develop and manufacture efficient monitoring and controls products for the world’s most demanding applications, with a focus on defense and energy industries. We’re looking for an experienced Field Service Technician based in Virginia or surrounding areas to cover a multiple state region consisting of Virginia, North and South Carolina, New Jersey, Delware and portions of Tennessee and Pennslyvania. This position will support installation and maintenance of our equipment at various customer sites across a dedicated sales/support region, with a primary focus on supporting a high-profile contract with Health and Human Services (HHS) to maintain a large monitoring network for the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS). This position will also include some sales development work with other potential customers with the region.
Our company specializes in wireless monitoring and control products across a broad range of markets including defense, building and industrial automation, medical/ life sciences and energy efficiency. Our customers range from the Department of Defense to health-care providers, so we’re looking for someone who feels comfortable working with a wide range of personalities.
We are a growing company that values communication and honesty within our relatively small team, so great verbal and written communication skills are a must. Assertiveness and motivation are also important qualities we look for, as we all wear many hats and need to be able to thrive in an environment with multiple projects going on simultaneously. This position in particular will require extreme competence with field support, as well as interacting with high-profile customers to maintain existing installations as well as develop new sales opportunities.
