FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Expanded engineering and productivity capabilities with addition of industry leading 3D printer for product development and customization.
Twinsburg, OH - April 16, 2021
Technicians at Paragon Robotics recently received Formlabs’ Fuse 1 3D printer, an industry-leading benchtop printer, which features a selective laser sintering (SLS) platform. The Fuse 1 is designed for cost-effective, efficient 3D printing, and our technicians are excited to incorporate it into Paragon’s labs.
The Fuse 1 was chosen specifically for its ability to make strong and visually appealing parts. This machine serves two primary functions, the first being to create prototype parts, so that engineers can test parts for form, fit, and function before sending them on to larger-scale manufacturers. Secondly, because of Fuse 1’s economic value, it’s viable to buy more than one machine, which will help to create a new line of production. By doing so, we can make more of our parts in-house, meaning greater quality control, improved turnaround time, and a reduced part cost, allowing us to get better, more cost-effective products into our customer’s hands even faster.
System developer Andrew Shamrock describes his favorite features: “[Fuse 1] is easy to use, and the controls and software are very intuitive. [Formlabs] did a fantastic job designing this machine, making it user-friendly, and making sure its ready to rock and roll as soon as you plug it in.”
The Fuse 1 arrives just as shipments for our N-Series devices are going out, and will help to ensure device quality in the future.
