Formlabs Fuse 1 3D Printer

Technicians at Paragon Robotics recently received Formlabs’ Fuse 1 3D printer, an industry‑leading benchtop printer featuring a selective‑laser sintering (SLS) platform. The Fuse 1 is designed for cost‑effective, efficient 3D printing, and our technicians are eager to incorporate it into Paragon’s labs.

The Fuse 1 was selected for its ability to produce strong, visually appealing components. It serves two primary purposes: first, to create prototype parts so engineers can evaluate form, fit, and function before moving to larger‑scale manufacturers; second, its cost efficiency makes acquiring multiple units feasible, enabling a new production line. This allows us to fabricate more parts in‑house, improving quality control, reducing lead times, and lowering part costs, so we can deliver better, more affordable products to our customers more quickly.

System developer Andrew Shamrock highlights his favorite features: “The Fuse 1 is easy to use, and the controls and software are highly intuitive. Formlabs did an excellent job designing this machine, making it user‑friendly and ready to operate as soon as it’s plugged in.”

Custom product prototyping and development

The Fuse 1 arrives as shipments of our N‑Series devices begin, helping to ensure future device quality.
